8 months pregnant.

37 weeks pregnant - getting closer!

On Thanksgiving Day, Nathan had the fun idea to have a Turkey Hunt with the boys.  We started by making several turkeys out of hand prints on construction paper.  We filled each one with a few candy corns so when they were successfully "hunted" the boys could eat them.  :)

and some of them in the backyard.

The boys had to find them with minimal help, then shoot them with their dart guns.  Once they got a hit, they could retrieve it and divvy up the candy corns inside.

It's a Thanksgiving tradition for me to forget to take pictures during our family festivities.  :P  But, here are several of the cousins eating dessert together - the first picture taken with my new-to-me iphone!

38 weeks pregnant!  This is how far I got with Jonathan's pregnancy.  I was so thankful to make it at least this far again.  :)

Joanna had come over to take my pregnancy picture for me and insisted on getting a friend shot together.  Little did I know, but she was newly pregnant herself!  She wasn't sharing her news yet, but later I found out that we were both pregnant in this picture!

Late September 2012

Our newly minted 2 year old had his annual check-up, where he was very healthy.  He weighed 23 pounds, 10 ounces (5th percentile), was 34-1/2 inches tall (54th percentile), and measured 50cm around his head (80th percentile).  He was the same height as Luke at that age, but much lighter.  Unlike Luke at that age, we were told to keep Jonathan on whole milk, probably because he was so small, and his head is large, but still on the charts.  :)

We spent some time outside as a family trying out Jonathan's new tricycle and taking some belated 2-year-old pictures.  Everyone got in on the fun!  Here's a video of Luke riding the tricycle to chase Jonathan around the patio chairs.  :)

Luke started doing some drills to make goals in his soccer class.  Here's a video of him making one!

Jonathan opened some presents at family dinner.

We shared the celebration with cousin Hannah, who was turning 10!

First Half of January

Luke practices riding his bike every little while.  He hasn't worked up the bravery or strength to go very fast, but hopefully he'll get there.  Here's a video of him.

We went to a train museum with some of the cousins - here are Luke and Jonathan peering out of the window of this full-sized train.  I love how short Jonathan is compared to this - but he can still see out!

Jonathan and I went to my friend, Lisa's house for a visit and play date.  Her daughter, Julia, is a couple months younger than Jonathan - they had lots of fun together!

Christmas Eve

This year, we did the major Hughes Christmas on Christmas Eve, since Christmas was on a Sunday and we would all be at church in the morning (or so we thought).  Here's me with my boys during stocking opening.

Luke got his turn to ride in the "cockpit" of the new airplane teeter-totter toy in the backyard - it was a group gift that will stay at Grandpa & Grandma's house.  Here's a video of almost all the cousins riding it.
