Maloney Family Pictures

Before I forget, I have to share with you these "fantabulous" pictures my sister took with her camera while we were in Oregon in July.  Since they weren't on my camera, they're saved in a different spot on my computer and I forgot to post them when I was posting about our trip.  First up is a lovely family picture of all of us!

And last, but certainly not least, is one of us three sisters!  It's fun to note that while we are all definitely biologically related, we each have a different color hair.  My hair color & Jennifer's has darkened over the years, but in it's purest form, we're a brunette, a blonde & a redhead!  :)

On a related note, I am madly in love with this super huge, detailed, expensive cross stitch pattern from Golden Kite.  It totally reminds me of my sisters and I - and the hair colors match!  :)  One of these days (when it goes on sale!), I will probably be snatching this up - I just can't resist!

Baby Sword

Jonathan discovered this play knife of Luke's, and loves it.  He'll chew on the flexible rubber blade, but it's when he wields it like a sword that cracks me up.  :P

First Dentist Appt

The first Friday in August, Luke had his first dentist appointment.  Our regular dentist doesn't usually start seeing kids before they're 5, but Luke has had black along the cracks of his bottom front teeth for a couple years now and it has really been bothering me.  I would hate to let something serious go and have it affect his big teeth.  So, we went in and Luke did great!  He was the perfect little patient and cooperated with almost everything - he was very nervous about wearing the big sunglasses they have (which was pretty weird since Luke loves sunglasses).  And those black areas were thankfully nothing serious and got polished and picked off - good as new!

Adventurer

Jonathan is losing his fear of the tiles and will frequently wander off the rug to find his toys (or strings/fuzz/bits).

Oregon Birthday Trip - Day 8

Reading the "kitties with balls of yarn" book about colors that I bought for my Mom to enjoy with her grandkids.  :)

Oregon Birthday Trip - Day 7

Enjoying the "My Aunt is the Best" shirt I found for Jonathan!  We came back from the beach house, but have a couple days left before flying home.

Letting Luke get in on a game of Carcassonne again.  He played in April, too, and really enjoys feeling like one of the adults.  :)

Oregon Birthday Trip - Day 6

Sunday of our Oregon trip, we had a short time together singing hymns and my dad gave a devotional.  Apparently there's actually a musical technique called "fiddlesticks" and my dad thought Luke would enjoy trying it with his viola.  Sure enough - happy to help make music!

Jonathan got a chance to try "making music" also.  :)

Uncle Andrew was very good at helping Luke learn new things, like playing Wii and pool.

This was also Jonathan's 10 month birthday!  Gotta get some special pictures!  (Oh, and the week before this trip Jonathan got two more bottom teeth, while two more top teeth came in the day we arrived - so now he has a whopping 8 teeth already!)

We brought the cupcakes out again and sang "Happy Birthday" to my dad while Luke was still awake so he could enjoy the birthday aspect and have a cupcake (he was already sleeping when they were fresh and first introduced).
