A lizard Cinnamon brought into the house.  I finally managed to capture it and take it back outside.  :P  And, that same day, I got some video of Jonathan giggling while shooting the dart gun and just laughing in his high chair.

Rest of February

I may be crazy, but I'd REALLY like to get caught up on pictures!  Am I nuts for even trying?  :P  Hopefully most of you out there who read this have me in your blog reader, so you will see these.  And, if all you hear from me is on this blog, there's a very good reason coming in December that is motivating me to get caught up.  :)  So, here is the rest of my February pictures - Enjoy!

Luke's preschool had a "Teddy Bear Parade" where they decorated a shoebox and brought their favorite stuffed animal from home to ride in it.  Since his teacher was called away that day, the "parade" quickly evolved into a "race"!  Check out the video of Luke running with his box.

17 Months old!

Newly Mobile

February started off with a new little walker on our hands!  Jonathan finally decided that walking is the way to go.  Check out this video of him walking all the way through the kitchen.  And, yes, I kept him barefoot in February because I was nervous about him slipping on the tile in socks as a brand-new walker.  :)

And, by the next day, he had already figured out how to stand up from sitting down!  I don't know that Luke EVER learned this particular method of getting up (because he couldn't lift his head like that).  Funny how I'm seeing some of these typical baby behaviors for the first time with Jonathan.  :)

Jonathan can also climb the stairs pretty well - he'd done this for awhile, but this is the earliest I remembered to get it on video.

Climbing on the little slide we have in the backyard (thank you, Duncans!)  He has the same slide in his Sunday School classroom, so he's had a bit of practice.  Watch him climb up and slide down all by himself!

Now that he's mobile, he's discovered the cool show the washer and dryer put on!

Second Half of January

We went to the L.A. Zoo on Martin Luther King day and bought a season pass so we can go back more often this year.  Luke is REALLY into animals, so we thought that would be a fun activity to have available throughout the year.  We got to see this jaguar walking around his cage - doing laps!  So fun to see them in motion, since often the cats are just sleeping.  :)  The video I linked to also has Jonathan in the background trying to say "jaguar".

Tired boy after a long morning.  Nap time came upon us, and he conked out in the stroller that I had put in the reclining position.  Such a sweetheart!

The fish drawing Luke's sharing here is one of the first things he's drawn that wasn't a "person".  He had a station at preschool where his teacher had drawn an example of the steps needed to draw a fish using shapes.  So, since he's into animals and fish, he was very excited to try it and did a great job!  He's definitely not been an artist, so it's fun to see some progress.  :)

Happy 16 months, Jonathan!

Jonathan went through a phase when these glasses were on his face constantly!  He loved to walk around the house and play while they were on - and if they fell off, he'd come over right away to have me put them back on.  Silly boy!

I cut all three boys' hair on the same night!  While working on them, I marveled at the difference in hair color, so I grabbed a picture before sweeping up the pieces.  In case you can't figure it out - left to right is Nathan, Luke & Jonathan.  :)

First Half of January

Luke practices riding his bike every little while.  He hasn't worked up the bravery or strength to go very fast, but hopefully he'll get there.  Here's a video of him.

Painting a watercolor page Grandma Maloney got him for Christmas - he had lots of fun.

We went to a train museum with some of the cousins - here are Luke and Jonathan peering out of the window of this full-sized train.  I love how short Jonathan is compared to this - but he can still see out!

Jonathan and I went to my friend, Lisa's house for a visit and play date.  Her daughter, Julia, is a couple months younger than Jonathan - they had lots of fun together!
