Baby Blue Eyes

I've noticed recently (and have gotten a few comments from others) that Jonathan's eyes are a lighter blue than Luke's are.  Luke has rather dark blue eyes, like I do.  But, Jonathan's are very nice and BLUE - especially when he's wearing blue.  So fun!  I took a few close-up pictures to highlight his eyes.  He's not wearing blue here, really, but you can still see what a nice color they are.  :)

And, here's Jonathan with another of Luke's old baby toys.  It's kind of funny actually, how well these toys have entertained LUKE since pulling them out.  :)

"New" Toy

I noticed Jonathan enjoying a toy like this at Grandma Hughes' house recently, and remembered that our version was still packed away.  So, out came another box of Luke's baby toys!  Jonathan really likes this - and it helps entertain him so he can sit up at the table with us during dinner.  :)

Half Birthday Photo Shoot

Since Jonathan was kind of out of sorts from his shots on his actual 6-month birthday, I did a proper photo shoot the next day.  Then, he was all smiles.  I, of course, went completely overboard and took way too many cute pictures to include in this post.  :P  If you're as addicted to pictures of my boys as I am (Mom!), head over to our gallery to see the rest of them.  :)  And here's a link to a video of him in the jumper at this point.

6 Month Check-up

It was pretty tricky getting good pictures of Jonathan at his 6 month check up a couple weeks ago - so wiggly!  But, he's a healthy boy!  He measured 27 inches long (75th percentile), weighed 15lbs, 13oz (25th percentile), and his head measured in the 75th percentile.  He's definitely not as chunky of a baby as Luke was, but he's growing steadily for himself.  And, his head is not as gargantuan as Luke's was - so he'll probably start working on some of those skills that Luke skipped... like crawling.  :)  He's nowhere near crawling right now, but he's working on sitting up by himself - he can stay for a little bit, but he's very tipsy because he's so curious and wiggly.  :)

And, just for a fun comparison - here's Luke at his 6 month check-up.  :)

Luke, using his Buzz Lightyear laser to fight the bad guys during the movie, The Incredibles.  He seemed to really enjoy it while he was watching it, but ended up having 3 nightmares that night.  So, he won't be watching that again any time soon.  :(

Enjoying applesauce for the first time!  Since he's 6 months now, we're starting him on non-cereal foods.  Check out this video of him.  :)
