It's a GIRL!

Back in August 2012, our routine 20 week ultrasound at the doctor's office didn't reveal whether this third baby would be a boy or a girl.  So, I made an appointment at a local ultrasound place to do a gender check.  I was pleasantly surprised to not only find out we were having a little GIRL, but that they did a couple 3D pictures for us as well.  We got this precious image of our little sweetheart.  So excited to meet her!

August 2012

August 2012 activities included celebrating Grandma Hughes' birthday (I made her cake and decorated it with a rose from our front yard),

going to the Hollywood Bowl to see the Pixar show,

wadding pool in the backyard,

our 10th anniversary (God has given us many blessings over the years!),

my 5 months pregnancy picture,

Luke's kindergarten ice cream social to see where his classroom was,

Luke's first day of kindergarten!,

one of Luke's first projects in kindergarten (I took pictures of him holding his projects as the year went along so I can have a record of them without having to keep them all),

celebrating Grandpa Hughes' birthday,

enjoying one-on-one time with Jonathan while Luke was at school,

playdate with Julia,

enjoying my 23 month old (almost 2!),

getting bunk beds (used to be Daddy's when he was a boy),

celebrating Joanna's birthday,

hearing Jonathan say the names to most of the Cars characters & identify most of the alphabet, and a cute school project picture that Jonathan wanted in on.  :)

July 2012

The rest of July included dart gun wars in the backyard,

playing at friends' houses,

playing at home,

an early 10th anniversary trip to Catalina Island,

my official "4 months pregnant" picture,

belated birthday gifts,

celebrating Jennifer's birthday, singing the Happy Birthday and ABC songs,

a trip to Disneyland to finish celebrating Luke's birthday,

and blue-eyed brothers in the backyard!

Luke's 5th Birthday

After we returned home from our camping trip in July 2012, we were able to celebrate Luke's 5th birthday a little more.

We opened presents at home.

He got lots of fun gifts, including some bad guys for his good guys to do battle with.

Jonathan enjoyed Luke's gifts, too!

Such a happy boy, enjoying a gummy Spiderman.

And, I made him a super hero birthday cake to enjoy at family dinner.  He wanted EVERY super hero he knew on that cake!  :)
