Photo Time

I made time for "official" four-month photos on Tuesday, since I wasn't able to squeeze any in during daylight hours the day before.  :)  Such a cutie!  (Oh, and there are LOTS more pictures here)

Just to remember how cute he is when he's crying.  Don't worry, I didn't let him cry for very long.  :)

And, I wanted to include Luke since I don't want to forget what he looks like at this stage either, but he wasn't being all that cooperative.  Even still, I managed to come away with a couple fun ones.  :)

Four Months!

Our little Jonathan turned 4 months old on Monday!  Per tradition, I took a few pictures of him in the doctor's office - such a wiggly little guy.  :)

His stats: 13lbs, 11oz (25th percentile), 25.25 inches long (65th percentile), 43.5cm head (75th percentile).  So, he hasn't gained that much weight, but has grown a good amount in length from last time.  And his head has grown quite a bit.  He's just 1/2 a centimeter smaller than Luke measured at this point - guess the big-headed gene is still alive and well after all.  :P  Overall, Jonathan is healthy and doing well.  We're really enjoying him around here, and we're extremely blessed to have him in our lives!

I decided to take a picture of Jonathan from a distance - looks kind of fun to see him all little on this rug.  Maybe I'll have to take a picture of him in a few months to compare how much he's grown.  :)

Life with Boys

I'm thoroughly enjoying my boys these days!  Here's a shot of Luke riding a tricycle at the park - it belongs to a friend from church who let him borrow it.  He did great!  He's pretty lazy at riding his bike at home, so it was fun to see him go - must be a little easier to operate than the one he has.

Luke is really into wanting to take pictures with my camera.  Ever since he got a disposable camera for Christmas (thanks, Matt & Tara!), he's enamored with this concept.  He took lots of pictures on this day (mostly of himself), but they were all super fuzzy because I had turned the flash off since he often gets too close to his subjects.  But, this first one he took with a flash had such a fun smile, I just couldn't delete it.  Instead, I edited it a bit so you wouldn't be blinded.  :)

I found these cute shirts at Babies'R'Us on clearance a few weeks back.  Tried to get some cute shots of the boys in them, but didn't completely succeed.  :P  And it was Luke who was the most uncooperative of the two.  Oh well - pretty cute anyway.  :)

Found His Feet!

I finally took some pictures of Jonathan holding onto his feet!  I had to so that I could compare them with these:

Brothers!  This turned out fuzzier than I thought it was when just viewing it on the camera, but it's still cute.  :)

Then, I took lots of pictures of Jonathan out on the patio.  For the life of me, I couldn't narrow them down!  Usually, I weed out several pictures from our photo shoots because lots of them are fuzzy, but with the great lighting outside, they were ALL good!  :P  There are more on our Hughes site, for anyone who is addicted to this cuteness also.  :)

Cute Boys

Yikes!  I got a bit behind again.  :(  But, to my credit, the reason I got behind is because I've been focusing more of my attention to housekeeping lately.  I gotta admit, while I wish I could spend more time playing with pictures, catching up on Facebook and crafting for Etsy or fun, I am REALLY enjoying having my kitchen be nice and clean most of the time.  :)

Here's a cute picture of the boys outside when I was pruning my roses.  After this picture, Jonathan decided to not be happy AT ALL in the direct sunshine, no matter what baby contraption I had him in, so he eventually ended up in his infant seat in the shade.  :)

And, later that day, Luke and I did some cooking together.  He really enjoys carrying all the ingredients from the pantry or fridge to the counter before we start.  When I saw that he had them all lined up like this, I couldn't resist taking a picture.  That's my boy!  (Can you guess what we made?)

Snow Day

We had been planning to go to Big Bear with lots of Nathan's family for a few days this past weekend, but the sickies struck one of the families.  So, those of us who were still well decided to make a shorter drive to Frazier Park to play in some snow instead.  Here's Luke looking super cute in all his snow gear!

As we were all wrapping up lunch at McDonald's after the snow, Jonathan decided to wake up finally (he'd virtually slept all morning!).  He looked so cute with his cap on - making faces and such big eyes!

New Videos!

I'm finally caught up on posting videos from this past year!  Head on over to my video blog, even if you haven't been there in awhile, and enjoy the cuteness!  Add that blog in your RSS feed reader (like Google Reader) along with this one, as I sincerely hope to stay current on adding videos throughout the year this year.  Having a new little baby to share with Oregon relatives is definitely a HUGE motivator!  They change and grow so fast!

Snowman in our Backyard!

We were kind of sad to wake up this morning to no new snow.  It had started to melt a little late last night anyway, but we were hopeful - cuz that would mean Nathan could stay home from work and play in the snow with us.  :)  But, alas, he had to go in since the roads south of us were all okay to drive on.  So, after breakfast, Luke and I ventured outside to build ourselves a snowman!  I suppose I could have made it bigger since there was still some snow on the lawn, but this is what we made, and it's still technically out there (albeit a bit skinny by now).

Luke thought he would be sneaky and get a snowball ready to throw at me while I was taking pictures.  :P

Here's our cute snowman!  It's got bark chips for eyes and mouth, a carrot stick for a nose, leftover Christmas tree pieces for arms, and hand-knitted hat and scarf (I think the hat was made by my Aunt Kathy for Nathan and the scarf might have been made by her also, but I can't honestly remember).

Running after me with a snowball!  This was Luke's favorite part of the snow - he also liked being hit with snowballs, too.

Snow!

Amazingly enough, it snowed here in Southern California!  And it stuck!  I've been in the snow here before, but it was just in the air.  Our house didn't get a fantastic amount of snow, but it was still fun.  We got a little bit more after these pictures were taken, but it got too dark to take any more pictures.  These three are taken throughout the afternoon - when it first started snowing, when it started sticking and my last opportunity to record the progress before it got dark.
